March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday and being a preschool teacher...it is EVIDENT to transform at least a week full of lessons into a Dr. Seuss party. Today, the children and I made some green eggs for the popular childhood book, Green Eggs and Ham.
If you are not familiar with his books...they are all about 40 pages long of ridiculous illustrations and rhyming words. SO fun!
(As you browse the photos, please ignore them being so blurry- maintaining control of a digital camera and 8 little children is challenging)

First thing's first, I read the story to them. We got to about page 20 until we lost complete interest. At least I got the green eggs concept across to them.
I hard boiled the eggs at home so the children could peel off the shells.

Chop, chop, chopping with plastic knives.
Back at the circle, we all took turns stirring the chopped eggs before the green food coloring came!
They begin to turn green.
Some pepper and salt, which was mostly shaken all over the floor.
Next, MAYONNAISE
